I felt a hot breath on one side of my neck, pass over my face, and go to the other side of my neck as I slowly came into consciousness. Taking my time opening my eyes, I looked directly in dark brown ones. I knew instantly who it was. Well, not exactly but I had a sense of who he was. He was my mate. "Mine." He roared. My breath hitched when he leaned down to whisper in my ear, "your eyes are beautiful." I couldn't understand what I was feeling, like butterflies in my stomach. I'm an angel and my story starts when I find my self alone in a forest, I can't remember anything about my past. I awoke to shuffling in my room. I looked over to my alarm clock. 2:47. The hell? The shuffling comes closer to my bed and I tense when I see a shadow of a man.
