Mono and Six continued through the room after putting the battery in. The room led into a hallway. Six would have to boost Mono through a hole in the door so he could go find the next battery.
He groaned.
"This again? I hated the last time enough."
"Hey, you got through the last time. Makes your chances better for this time." Six reassured.
I did almost die last time.
Mono nodded and Six boosted him through.
The room had limbs scattered over the floor and a person blocking the way out the door. The person wore hospital clothing and looked like a patient. There was a switch on the wall. Mono walked over and pulled it.
The lights went out and the Patient started to move towards him. Mono gasped and pulled out his flashlight. He turned it on and shined it at the Patient just before it grabbed him.
Mono kept the light on the Patient as he continued to the next room.
Really? Are you joking? Walking mannequins in the dark? This really is a great day, huh.
The light was on in the next room, so the Patient couldn't get him. He continued down the hallway with his flashlight on, shining it on every Patient just in case one was alive.
None of the Patients moved, so he continued through a broken door. There were several Patients in the next room. He knew some would have to be alive.
He cautiously continued. Two Patients charged at him and he shined his light. He walked past them, keeping his light on them.
He made a run for a bed and slid under it, hiding. The Patients couldn't get him from under there. He walked out from under and continued. His heart was racing.
Okay, just shine the light on then. Easy enough....not really.
He walked and another Patient charged. He ducked and shined his light at the Patient. Two more charged and he ran backwards as he shined the light at all three. He jumped through a door and into safe light as the Patients charged and froze.
He walked across the room and jumped into a vent. The vent led into a room with a bed and a toilet. He walked out into the hall.
As he walked down the hall and hand reached out through a door. He dodged it, the hand barely missing. Several others reached out through the doors to grab him.(see picture at start of chapter) He continued, ducking and dodging all the arms.
Then several Patients came out through the door. Mono started to run. Another patient busted through a door to his left and another cut off his path. He struggled to shine his light on all of them. Soon he made his way to safety under a bed.
Or so he thought, the crawling Patients came under the bed and Mono shined his light on them as he crawled away. Another patient cut him off and he shined his light. He made a run for a dresser and climbed up, escaping all the Patients as he climbed through the vent up top.
The vent led into a room with a switch. Mono pulled it and the lights came on. Mono gasped in relief. He took a minute to get his bearings and then continued to examine the room.
Please tell me that is the end of them.
The room contained a box full of soap. (I swear it looks like soap. If it's not correct me please) There was a door that needed a button to open it. Mono grabbed a piece of soap and threw it at the button, opening the door.
He walked into the next room to see a bathtub with a dead Patient in it and a Patient in a wheelchair. He walked ahead and saw he needed something to jump onto so he could just through the door.
