Mia sat in the kitchen friday morning with a smiling face. Her and Maxine grew closer everyday and she loved it. She had unannounced feelings for Maxine, and decided to keep it a secret until further notice. Nothing could imagine how much her friends would freak out if they learned about her crush on Maxine. They'd go crazier than Harley Quinn.

As she munched on her toaster waffles, Mia listened to her stepmother rant to the person on the phone. Money wasn't coming in for a reason unknown to Mia, but she decided to not investigate. She didn't want to stress Georgia out — and she knew everything would solve itself. "Have I found Jesus? No. Son of a bitch is playing hard to get." Mia giggled at Georgia, making the blonde send a small smile her stepdaughter's way.

Ginny walked into the room, grabbing fruit from the fridge. She observed her mother, commenting "Slutty top."

"Got it at that shop you stole from. Waffle? Toasted 'em myself."

"Hey are those my pants?," Mia cut in, recognizing them from the day they moved in. The other two ignored her as Ginny handed Georgia a piece of paper. "What's this?," Georgia asked. "Sophomore Sleepover." Georgia already knew what the paper was, but the mother was curious to how her daughter would explain it. Mia already told her about it earlier and Georgia complied to her 'unproblematic kid'.

"Welcome to Pleasantville."

"If you've always had a tempur-pedic, the notion of a sleeping bag on a gym floor is charming."

"Mm. Ellen's running it. You can give her the money for my ticket."

The conversation went on as Mia munched on her food, watching Ginny and Georgia go back and forth. Ginny called it a waste of a Saturday, and Mia agreed. It was Maxine who convinced her to go, and Maxine was the only reason she would go.

"Hey, Mia. I'm going over to Ellen's, wanna come?"

Mia agreed, waving goodbye to Ginny as she took her backpack over to the Baker home. The girl would take up any chance to see Maxine, especially so early in her day. Her and Georgia could hear faint yelling inside and decided to not knock. Instead, they both walked through the unlocked door, quiet as mice.

"This is my chance to spend some time with amelia. why can't you be cool like Georgia?," Maxine asked.

"I am pretty cool. Mornin', neighbors!" Maxine and Marcus stared at Georgia and Mia, surprised they were there. Maxine looked Mia up and down, delighted to see the blue eyed girl. Marcus waved to the redhead, and she waved back after winking at Maxine.

"Come in! Join us!," Ellen welcomed them in, stressed. Clint began to sign, and Mia laughed with him. Ellen translated for Georgia as Mia took a bite of Marcus's breakfast. he let out a protest, shoving her. She punched his shoulder in response before they both laughed, finding themselves entertained.
