Liams pov
I had just knocked on the door. As Zayn opened the door, I heard a voice from inside the house.
It's Waliyha, Zayn's sister, playfully saying, "Hi Liam!" Dragging out my name.
"Hi," I replied back before whispering to Zayn, "I thought you were the only one here?"
"Yeah sorry, my sisters came back earlier than expected." He locked the door as I walked in.
"Hi." I repeat again, now having two of Zayn's sisters staring at me.
"Stop staring that's rude, come one Liam, I want you to meet someone."
We walked into the kitchen, me not too far behind him. If he was to turn around he'd probably crash into me.
As we walked into the kitchen, there was a girl who looked slightly older than Zayn. Confused, I whispered to Zayn, "Hey, Zayn, who's she?"
It seemed like she overheard my question, as she turned around with a warm smile. She had black locks and eyes that resembled Zayn's.
Zayn chuckled and replied, "That's my older sister, Doniya."
"I thought it was just Safaa and Waliyha," I said, feeling a bit surprised.
Zayn explained, "I thought I already told you about her. Doniya's been away at college, so you haven't had the chance to meet her yet."
She walked over to where we were in the kitchen. "Hi, you must be Liam!" she exclaimed, her smile widening.
"Yes, hi. Sorry, Zayn's never mentioned you before," I replied, feeling a little awkward.
She then turned to Zayn and playfully punched his arm, saying, "Is that how you feel about me, Z?"
He winced slightly, causing me to feel a bit confused. I wondered why he winced.
I couldn't help but notice the subtle change in Zayn's expression, his eyes briefly betraying a hint of discomfort.
It made me pause for a moment, my thoughts swirling with questions. I wanted to ask, but I also didn't want to pry.
"Nice to meet you, Doniya," I said with a smile, trying to keep the conversation light.
As me and Doniya engaged in casual conversation, Zayn quietly observed from the side. I noticed a subtle shift in Zayn's mood. It was as if he had noticed my observation and was now more guarded.
I decided to continue the conversation with Doniya I asked her about what she studies and her experiences at college. I found himself captivated by her enthusiasm and zest for life.
Meanwhile, Zayn watched their interaction silently, slowly breaking out in a small smile.
As the conversation continued, I made sure to include Zayn in the discussion, asking about their childhood together.
Him and Doniya shared memories of their childhood, and the topic of Zayn breaking his leg came up. This family must really find that day funny.
We all laughed, Zayn shook his head, saying, "I never thought a game of hide-and-seek could lead to a broken leg. Good times, though."
Later on, we spent some time with Zayn's other sisters, Safaa and Waliyha. It was great getting to know them better and seeing the family resemblance among all of them.
That evening, as Zayn and I retreated to his room for some alone time, I couldn't help but remember him wincing earlier. Carefully, I aske, "Hey, earlier you winced?"
Zayn paused for a moment. I continued, "When your sister- Doniya punched you."
He turned around and looked at me, before finally saying, "Oh, it was nothing, Liam. Don't worry about it."
I knew that wasn't true, but before I got to ask again, "Im fine." He repeated again. He walked up to me slowly.
"Ok," I said. I didn't want to push it. He cupped my face and lightly gave me a kiss.
We continued our evening, enjoying each other's company and the comfort of being together. If there was something wrong, he tell me, right?
