It was Thursday at lunch and I was completely zoned out while my friends chatted normally. Today Mum came home and I was really nervous. I should be excited but I don't know how I feel about all of this.

I can't wait to see her face but I fear I'll find a way to see through it now, and that smile that was once my homeland will make me sob instead. I know I'll have to pretend I haven't seen the video and I really hope that she is happy to see me. I mean she commented on my Instagram, but I can't help thinking that that's still an act. Mum sent that video by accident but I wish I hadn't seen it so when she hugs me I'll believe she means it.

"Hellooooo, Millie?" Rose ran a hand up and down in front of my face and I jumped so hard I almost fell off the bench.

"Mhm" I mumbled as I took a bite of my cookie. It was white chocolate chip. Ben and Brynn had baked them last night and they were really good. Ben had wanted to try to recreate me and Goldies but I think ours are still better, sorry Ben!

"Why are you staring at that tree like it deserves to die?" Rose replied. Marigold snorted.

"I bet you know how many leaves it has," Goldie added and that made me laugh a little. I didn't though because I had no clue I was having a staring contest with a tree.

I shrugged and ate another bite of my cookie and tried to socialize again and avoid the tree I had probably just made enemies with.

I was sitting in my last 10 minutes of science finishing my worksheet when I saw a shadow move over my sheet. I looked up to see Harry standing in front of my desk with a lazy grin on his face which snapped me out of my funk and made me smile.

"Hey, I just wanted to let you know that the game starts at 10." He said. I honestly did not expect him to remember inviting me to his game on Sunday but I was beyond happy he did. It meant more than he'd ever know.

"Awesome, can't wait!" I grinned back. Honestly the last time I'd watched the lacrosse game I'd really gotten into it. Who knows maybe I'd become a fangirl.

"Me too, I hope we win, we've been practicing a lot."

"Yeah imagine losing after inviting someone to a game, yikes." I laughed and then scolded myself for saying something like that, luckily I don't think he gets offended easily.

"That would be embarrassing, but if you cheer extra loud maybe we'll win." He shrugged.

"Dream on London boy." I rolled my eyes. Oh god, thanks Taylor now I let that nickname slip.

Harry smirked, "I will Harper," and then he walked back to his seat. I blushed, the last name nickname got my stomach all in knots.
