SUMMER SONG - REMY BOND
"real love is a dangerous game
but it's one i wanna play.
real love is like a gun to my brain
but im drawn like a moth to a flame."To say Sora was excited for the host club hours would be an understatement. It's not like he was dying to see anyone in the club besides Haruhi, though a certain blonde kept popping up in his head. No, Sora was excited to give Asami her beloved cat.
Throughout the entire school day, his leg had been continuously bouncing up and down, and he had trouble focusing on his teachers. Sora had figured giving Asami her cat during school hours could have turned into a bit of a mess. However, he had thought out a plan to avoid all of that unnecessary trouble.
The moment the school bell to end the day rang, Sora would have to run straight to his house and grab the cat. Then he would (carefully) walk back to the host club and just hope that he wouldn't be too late.
DING
Sora shot up from his seat and rapidly packed his supplies in his bag. He said a quick goodbye to Haruhi and hurried home. Giving Asami her cat meant so much to him, he didn't even mind that he was making a fool of himself by running with a backpack on.
He arrived at his apartment after around ten minutes. Unlocking the door, he grabbed the little basket to carry Asami's cat in, as well as throwing in a few other things he had made for her.
Right before Sora left he checked the time. Twenty minutes left before Host Club hours start, I can totally make this!
He did not make it in time.
Maybe it was the weight of the basket that slowed him down, or perhaps the multiple times Asami's cat had tried jumping out. Or maybe Sora's subconscious was at fault, warning him not to go to the flamboyant host club.
Sora didn't have a watch on him, and was too focused to check his phone; but when he walked through the doors of Ouran Academy, he spotted a clock that was hung up.
He was twenty minutes late to the host club.
Sora paled, Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, they're going to kill me!
Taking a faster pace and longer strides, Sora thankfully made it to the host club in only five minutes of searching. He pushed the doors open, only to be greeted by a heavy tropic scent, and the sound of multiple animals going about.
But Sora didn't have the time to judge whatever was going on, he had to get to Asami. He glanced back and forth, and sadly only made eye contact with Tamaki. Sora knew he was about to get a lecture and was already giving up hope, thinking that Asami had just left from his absence.
"Have you seen any sign of Sora-chan?"
Sora's ears perked up and turned his head in her direction. There she was, she had ironed her brown hair into waves, which gracefully settled near her shoulders. Despite the absolute horrid attempt at a dress, Asami had managed to pull it off with her beauty. Sora beamed at her presence, even more ecstatic to surprise her.
He took a glance at Tamaki who was fuming and heading straight for Sora. He chuckled awkwardly and swiftly ran out of the way towards Asami, missing Tamaki's grasp by inches. The blonde boy hadn't expected Sora to move, and Tamaki ended up falling onto the floor from trying to grab onto him.
"Miss Doi!"
He spotted Kyoya giving him the fakest smile he's ever seen (maybe next time he'll try not to be so late), but luckily Asami seemed to notice him as well.
