Jealousy

I woke up full of energy to act and, above all, well-rested. I went to the mirror where there was a small white piece of paper with my beloved's handwriting on it.

Honey,

Downstairs you have the password to the internet so that you can talk to our son for free, greet him from me and tell Min-ho that daddy loves and misses him very much. You have your favorite American pancakes in the fridge, I hope you will like it. I hope that today will pass quickly and we will be able to meet at night. I love you and wait for me.

Your In-ho.

I read and took my phone where I entered the password and I had 5 bars. I quickly changed my clothes and went out to the living room, where I took the breakfast prepared by my husband. I sat down at the bar and called my brother, who was taking care of my little boy.

-Why is your soul groaning? - my brother asked, sitting on his balcony and eating breakfast.

-I'm glad to hear from you too, Simon-I said ironically and the boy rolled his eyes. He's 33 and he behaves worse with each passing year.

-Okay, okay, don't exaggerate that you're calling for nothing. Do you want to talk to Min-ho?

-You're still asking? That's not why I'm calling. I need to see my son, not my insufferable brother.

-Ouch, that hurt. A punch straight to the heart - he said and grabbed the place where his heart should be, although I doubt he has one, just like his brain.

-Okay, stop joking, just put my son on the phone.

-Or maybe he doesn't want to talk to you? He's much better off with his uncle than with his mother.

-Simon Ryan Dominic Scoot put Min-ho on the phone!-I shouted and the man rolled his eyes. He hated his names and knew he wouldn't win against me. Call my son, who sat on his lap and took over the conversation with me.

-Mommy!

-Hi honey, what are you doing at your uncle's?

-I watch cartoons, we go for walks and so on, but where's daddy?

"Daddy's is busy but he told me to tell you that he loves you and misses you so much," I said and the boy smiled broadly. He loved us just as much but he did a lot of crazy things with In-ho because as my husband says, "He needs to get to know the world and not keep it in a bubble."

-Then let's tell him mommy that I love him too and miss him too - he said and smiled broadly, showing his little teeth covered in chocolate.

-Min-ho, did you eat sweets for breakfast?

-No. My uncle made me pancakes with sweets.

-You weren't supposed to tell me I give you sweets in the morning, Simon said to my son.

-Oops, I forgot - said the black-haired man charmingly - I'll go brush my teeth, bye mommy, kiss daddy from me!

-Yes, I'll do it, see you later - I said and talked to my brother for a while longer, then I hung up and went to put on my pink jumpsuit with a mask and went to the control room where Joon-hyuk and Salesman were already.

"When is the next game?" I asked, walking closer to the men.

"They will eat breakfast and start," Joon-hyuk replied and left the control room.

-How the fuck are you family? He's cold and emotionless and you're similar but you have a heart and feelings! - I asked and the man next to me laughed.

-He's mad that you followed us yesterday. He doesn't really like that you have to be here and Frontman worries about you than about the games - he explained and hugged me, which I returned. Maybe he wasn't as bad as his cousin, who clearly has a problem with me even though I didn't do anything to him.

We watched the room where all the surviving players were sleeping and eating. One of them was aimed at my husband, Gi-hun and the rest of the people sitting with them, while the other showed Thanos's team, who were obviously up to something.

-That you were with the dead king of rap in high school - Gong said suddenly.

-Don't remind me of these painful memories- I said brittlely and shifted my gaze to the other screen where my husband was giving milk to a woman, saying that he wouldn't get the milk, which was true but the girl was clearly into In-ho- No, fuck, probably not!

-What happened?-Salesman asked.

-Look this chick is hitting on my husband!

-They are nice to each other and that's the greatest philosophy, he said, embarrassed.

-You must see how she looks at him! I'm going to pull out her hair! - I shouted and headed for the exit but my friend's strong hand stopped me.

-Don't make any rash decisions Bev and secondly you're not going in there. The door is guarded and there's no way they'll let you through, that's the boss's order - he growled angrily and shook me so we could continue watching them eat breakfast.

"I'll murder that bitch when she comes near him," I muttered quietly and didn't say anything more.

Game time came and all the players were directed to the room I was in last night. They had 10 minutes to form groups of 5. Thanos was with his gang while In-ho was with Gi-hun, player 390 and player 388 and that slut who was clearly hitting on him. She was pregnant and looking for her father because her real father left her, she ended up in the wrong place because he was already taken. Out of all the groups I created, one group attacked me and it was also the old lady and probably her son's group, there was a woman who had her lungs changed and some other shy woman and a woman in her 50s who was clearly not in her right mind because she was talking about gods etc. basically a shaman. My ex and old lady's teams moved on. Of course there were teams that didn't make it and died. At the very end there were two teams. One random and my husband's. Player 390 wished the other good luck and they set off from the starting point.

The pregnant girl had a game of ddakji and on the first try she managed to turn the second envelope and they moved on. Player 390 had a flying stone and he also managed to do it on the first try. The man with number 388 had my hated game, Gong-gi. The idea was to collect all five dice by throwing them in three turns. I never won it but he managed to do it on the first try and they moved on to the fourth game, the spinning top that my beloved had. At first he threw with his right hand and he didn't succeed, which was logical to me that he was left-handed and not right. He did it on purpose to make the time fly a bit but he didn't manage to change hands and threw with his left hand and the team could move on. The last one was my best friends cousin who had Jegi he managed without any problems but on the last throw he almost didn't succeed if it wasn't for In-ho's help. They won reaching 2 seconds before the end but the other team didn't make it and died.

I returned to the apartment before the men to have more time to search my husband's mysterious office. He was hiding something in the cabinets and knowing that my father has his fingers in these bloody games I have to find out why he does it. The door opened without a problem and I went inside closing it behind me. I searched everywhere until I found what I was looking for. The files of each VIP and lists of winning participants or invoices for purchased shooting equipment. I took it all and hid it in the bedroom to discuss it with In-ho today. Maybe he will know something since he is the Front man.

-I'm going to my place, I told the man in the evening after we had dinner.

"Okay," Joon-hyuk muttered, uninterested.

-Just please don't whine loudly, I'm going to get some sleep and not listen to your begs - said the broken Salesman and I just rolled my eyes and went to the bedroom. I closed the door behind me and didn't take a few steps when someone attacked me.
