"Actually, Miss Kate. I would like to audition
for the female solo spot at Nationals!" Michelle chipped in. Miss Kate wrote down Michelles and Emily's name down on her clipboard. "That's great any one Else?" she asked.

"Ok, then Michelle and Emily you have one hour to prepare a solo your time starts now!" Kate announced. "And as for Duets I'm going to put a sheet up here and I want to see people sign up let's Go!" Kate clapped twice meaning to get going.

James and Riley walked towards eachother and went into studio B, it was clear that they wanted to dance together at Nationals. The others were still unsure. Emily and Michelle has already left to work on their solos.
"Hey, Noah do you want to audition for the duet spot at nationals?" Amanda asked.

"Yeah Sure, let's go to the music Room" He suggested.

Noah's Pov
I don't really want to do a duet because I have the male Solo and that's allot of work but I don't want to disappoint Amanda so I will go along with it for now.

Emily was rehearsing her solo in The room used for J troupe, She was confident in herself. Michelle was outside the door looking in on Emily, Michelle couldn't help but think she doing well.

Michelle's pov
I just sneaked in on Emily because I wanted to see how she's was doing and I'm so shocked. Her technique is impeccable. I'm not sure if I want to challenge her anymore.

The burst of light that came through the doors projected Michelle's shadow into the Studio, it gave away her cover. Emily rolled her eye's, "Michelle i can see you" Emily said. The doors opened and Michelle walked in. "Hey, How is it Going?" She aked kindly.

"Really well actually why aren't you Rehearsing?" Emily asked, "I don't know if I want to be the female soloist anymore - I have my sights on the small group this Year" Michelle explained.

"That's great, So Shall we tell Miss Kate that you don't want the solo spot?" Emily wondered. "You don't worry, I will speak to Miss Kate about it" Michelle offered. "Ok thanks" Emily smiled, She opened her arms out into a hug.

Emily's pov
When Michelle says she doesn't want to female solo spot, I'm not gonna lie - I'm happy - Nowadays I struggle to see why disliked her so much when she joined the next step I mean she is really nice. Michelle is a very good Friend!

Richelle's pov
Right now we're just in studio A and we're about to Watch the auditions for Female Solo and Duets.

"Ok, Everyone lets get going with the auditions but before we should start I would like to announce that Michelle does not want to be female soloist this year but Emily we'd still like to see your audition piece so take it Away" Miss Kate said.

The dancers moved backwards to the studio walls allowing Emily to have full space to dance in. "Alright let's go Emily!" Miss Kate yelled. The blonde dancer walked into the centre of the dance space with a big smile on her face.

She was dancing to 'hurricane" she began with a floor section of acro before getting up into something pirouettes.

Riley's POV
I'm so proud of Emily, to come out of an injury and audition for the female solo spot at nationals is amazing!

Michelle's pov
Watching Emily's dance is really great, I can tell she wants this.

"That was amazing Emily - Well done! It looks like your oir female soloist!" Miss Kate rejoiced. "Actually miss Kate, I'd like to audition" Richelle spoke up. Emily looked at miss Kate and back at Richelle.

"No, You had your time to audition and you didn't so I was given the opportunity to be the female soloist" Emily said, getting very defensive in the process. "But Miss Kate?" Richelle began, "Can't I re Audition?" Asked.
"I'm sorry but I gave the solo spot to Emily and it's just the way it is, sorry" Kate answerd.

Emily's pov
No one is going to take the female solo away from me!

James POV
Right now, me and Riley are presenting our duet to the rest of A troupe and it's going really well. I can feel the energy and it just makes a want to dance s whole lot more!

Riley's POV
The dance was based on when we broke up so it's quite dark but towards the end it lightens up to Symbolise when we get back together.

"Oh My, you guys have out done Yourselfs! Be proud of that dance, Right next can we have Amanda and Noah up here Please?" Kate called out. They both smiled and walked into the dance space. they were dancing to 'Hero' and it was going well. Noah lifted Amanda high into the air.

Noah's Pov
As I'm lifting Amanda up into the air I'm thinking please let James and Riley win! I don't want to dance a duet - I have the Solo to work on.

"Yeah guys that's Good!" Miss Kate clapped,

Miss Kate's pov
Watching Noah and Amanda's duet is really interesting because You've got James and Riley's duet which is so deep and powerful but the you've got Noah and Amanda's duer which is so the opposite of the last one - Giselle and I have a big decision to make.

"Alright Everyone that's the end of the duet auditions and Tomorrow we will move onto the smaller group round! Giselle and I have some decisions to make show just hang out for a Second" Said miss Kate, They both walked into the office. This was going to be difficult.

"So, What are you initial thoughts on the two Duets?" Kate asked her head choreographer, "Well it's hard to explain but...."

Amanda's Pov
I can see Giselle and Miss Kate mimicking sections of myself and Noah's dance so I presume that they liked it.

"What I mean it that James and Rileys duet was so deep that it wouldn't captivate the audience, where as with Noah and Amanda's duet it seems to funky and light. If that makes sense?" Giselle continued.

"So we have made a decision - those Two?" She asked, just to confirm. Muss kaye nodded with a big smile. She's suggested they went to tell everyone so they both left the office. "Alright! We have some News" Kate announced. "We have decieed that James and Riley will be getting the Solo"

"No way?" James' laughed, he hugged Riley and lifted her up and spun in a circle. "All that's left to do is audition for the Small group then we csn get cracking on our other routines!" Kate aded, She was standing on her tip tows in excitement.

Everyone was happy, but Amanda had a miserable look on her face.

Amanda's Pov
Last Year I was an alternate, I have to get into the small group round or I'm out of chances to be a featured dancer at nationals.

Riley's POV
Our duet got us the tie breaker at internationals last year, we need to mike it 10X better this year!

A troupe auditions for Group round. James's begins to investigate Suzanne
