Chapter 3

Henry's POV

school has finished, and now I'm off to work. Yes! Some time for me and Charlotte and NO Luke! I arrive at Junk N Stuff and see Jasper already behind the counter. "Woah dude how did you get here so fast?" I say laughing a little. "Luke dropped me and Charlotte off here like 10 minutes ago. By the way, Charlotte's waiting for you down stairs, she has 'news'. Do you reckon somethings going on between Luke and Charlotte?" He asks and I'm kind of shocked. Even Jasper can see that they are close. What could he mean by 'news'? "Um I'm not sure, maybe, I'm gonna go see Charlotte and see what her news is, See ya dude." "Bye!" He waves me good bye as I walk to the elevator. I reach the man cave and see Charlotte and Ray talking. "Henry, you're here!" She runs up to me and hugs me. "Woah, why are you so happy?" I laugh at her goofy smile. "Luke asked me out!!!!!" Oh. My. Gosh. "Wait what?" I said, pulling her out of the hug. "Luke asked if I wanted to go on a date to the movies with him tonight!!" "And you said yes?!" I sort of shouted and she got startled. "Yea, why wouldn't I?" She sounded serious now. "Um, I don't know, maybe because you met him TODAY?!" I literally shouted so loud now. "You have a point, but I feel like I've known him my whole life! He's so nice and sweet and he is pretty cute!" She's right about the cute part, he's not ugly. He has light brown hair that lays perfectly to the right side of his face and has blue-green eyes. But still, A DATE?!

Charlottes POV

I don't understand, why is Henry so mad at me? I mean it's just a date. "I can't believe you said yes." He genuinely sounds angry at the moment. "Why don't you want me to date him?" I shouted at him. "Ok, ok, guys just calm down." Ray says as he walks over to us. I forgot he was in the room. "What if he's bad news? What if he moved to Swellview because he'd been expelled from every school in his old town? How do you know what he's like?" Henry starts to walk closer to me and I look up at him. "Why are you being so over protective? Why can't you just be happy for me? Isn't that what friends are for? You know, every relationship you've had I've supported you and helped you, but when I get my first relationship, you can't even support me one bit?" Ray is now standing In the middle of us. "That's enough! I don't like seeing you guys argue. Friends shouldn't argue like this." I feel tears forming in my eyes. Henry's shut his mouth now. Right now, it's just silence. I start to sob now, thinking about what just happened. "Charlotte..." Henry sounds guilty. He starts to walk past Ray and towards me but I push him away from me. "Leave. Me. Alone." I say in an angry tone. I start walking towards the elevator door sniffling and wiping tears from my eyes when I feel Henry's hand grab mine. I look back at him and then at Ray... Then back at Henry. He looks sorry, but I don't have time for this crap right now. I slip my hand out of Henry's and get into the elevator. Time to get ready for my date with Luke and no ones going to stop me.
