"Hi, I'm Jimin, I'm gay, and I haven't come out yet because my best friend came out and his parents rejected him badly. I've been terrified every since."

"Hi Jimin," The leader of the event smiled warmly. "Good to have you."

They met once a month. Any closeted member of the LGBTQ+ community was allowed to join. You could call it a support group, but it's really just a little get together with snacks so people can remember they're loved and valued for who they are despite their fears of coming out.

"Okay, I think Jimin was the last of our new members," The leader announced. "Let's just have a good time until I have to give this place up at nine."

Almost everyone stood up, including Jimin. Most people here had already started talking to people but Jimin didn't know anybody. So he kind of just stood there.

But not for long because he soon heard a, "Hey, Jimin."

Jimin turned around to see a taller male. He had brown hair, and beautiful big eyes. He was a very handsome man. "Hey."

"I'm Jungkook," the other male introduced. "How are you?"

"Right now pretty good," Jimin looked around the room. "I'm with a bunch of people who are just like me."

"Yeah, for a lot of us, including me, it's religious parents," Jungkook shrugged. "For others, it's cultural, and most of the others are just scared. Don't get me wrong, I want to come out, it's just...it's just hard. We all have one thing in common and it's that we're all scared."

"That's very true," Jimin nodded. "I'm glad I have people now that I can share that with."

"Yeah the first time I came here I felt that too," Jungkook agreed then took a deep breath. "Hey, I know this is crazy and you have so many different reasons to say no, but would you consider going on a date with me? I don't usually do this but you're really cute."

"You want to go on a date with me?" Jimin's eyes widened. "But you're the attractive one!"

"Don't make me argue with you about how wrong you are," Jungkook chuckled.

"You're right you're crazy," Jimin shook his head laughing as well.

"Hey, I said that the idea was crazy not me," the taller defended.

"And despite it being crazy I think I would like to go on a date with you," Jimin smiled up at him. "But where could we go that'll make us look straight enough to not get caught?"

"I mean, we could always go to my place?" Jungkook suggested. "I still live with my parents until I graduate college, but they don't usually bother me if I'm in my room. We can order takeout, and we can treat it as our own little private dinner date without having to pretend we're not on a date."

"Oh, okay," light blush runs to Jimin's face, he can't help it. This was the first time he's ever been asked out on a date and it already sounded so romantic, so personal. "I like the sound of that."

"Great, let's exchange numbers then I'll text you my address," Jungkook pulled up his number on his phone for Jimin to copy into his contacts. "Does Friday around 7pm work?"

"Yeah," Jimin nodded once more, smiling the whole time. "That sounds really good."

"Perfect," Jungkook beamed. "I can't wait."

Jimin was pushed away as they heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Jungkook's mother opened the door right as Jimin sat down.

"Hey, how's it going?" Mrs. Jeon only poked her head in, seeing the makeshift table in the middle of the floor, take-out food on top of it half-eaten.
