I'll Miss You

When the rest of the team found out that JJ got his memories back, they were thrilled. Of course, they didn't know that Steven didn't put all his memories back but it was better that way.

When they told T'Challa they were all leaving, he assured them that they were always welcome in Wakanda as long as he is king. He promises that he will keep them updated on Bucky as Shuri attempts to get the trigger words out of his head.

They know that they need a game plan if they are going to be successful going on the run.

"We need to split up. At least for awhile," Steve tells them.

None of them really like the idea of splitting up but seven Avengers together draw a lot of attention.

Wanda, Steve, Sarah, and Sam are going together while Natasha, JJ, and Steven are together. Steve would rather have all the kids with him but he trusts Natasha to take care of the twins.

"Please, keep them safe," Steve says to Natasha while pulling her in for a hug.

"With my life," Natasha promises.

He pulls away and looks at Nat. He doesn't know when he will see her again. She's been his partner for years and a friend for almost as long. He knows he will miss her a lot but if she needs him, he'll be there.

"Keep yourself safe too. Make sure you stay in contact and check in often," Steven says.

"You too, Steve," Natasha says.

Off to the side, the three teens say goodbye. They have their arms wrapped around each other tightly. This is the first time in their whole life that they will be away from each other for an extended period of time.

"I can go with you and Natasha," Sarah says with tears in her eyes.

"No, you need your dad and Wanda," Steven says.

"I need you too," Sarah says with a little sob.

"We'll always need each other and if worse comes to worse, we can switch up the groups every once in awhile. This is only goodbye for a little while," JJ says.

Sarah knows all this but they are her boys. They have been there her whole life and they have always been inseparable.

"You take care of each other," Sarah demands.

"Yes, ma'am," JJ says with a smirk.

It's such a JJ thing to say that she can't help but smile. She's so happy that he got his memories back because she loves JJ just the way he is.

Sarah gives them one last hug before joining her father.

Natasha walks up to the boys.

"You ready to be fugitives on the run?" Natasha asks.

"Sure, should be fun," JJ says with a small shrug.

However, JJ soon changes his tune when Natasha presents him with a bottle of peroxide.

"No, I'm not doing it," JJ says adamantly.

"You need some kind of disguise and you won't let me cut your hair so this is your other option," Natasha says impatiently.

Steven is sitting back enjoying the argument as he sports his new hairstyle. Steven never cared much for his hair so he let Natasha do whatever she wanted to it.

JJ was a much different story because he was in love with his hair. Mom cut his hair short once and it looked ridiculous with his curly hair. He always liked that he looked like dad and didn't want to be a blond either. If he's honest with himself, the reason he doesn't want to change his appearance is because it's the last physical reminder of his parents that he has.
