Orla watched from afar as James led his sister to the edge of the studio and started to talk to her. Orla knew that he didn't want her to audition, but part of her thought he was just being idiotic. Piper had to make her own mistakes, and if auditioning for A-Troupe was one, then she would learn it herself.
As he came back, an annoyed yet determined Piper running into the party, she asked him. "What'd you tell her?"
"That A-Troupe was too intense for her and that she's not ready," answered James.
Orla snorted. "James, you joined A-Troupe when you were a year younger than her."
"That is besides the point-"
"And plus, I would never tell Noah that-"
"Again, different-"
"And I think it's great that Pipes is auditioning-"
"Oh good for you-"
"Listen!" Orla finally called him to stop. "Piper should join. It's an amazing opportunity for her, and she's an amazing dancer. So come on, James. Wipe that sour look off your face, and let's enjoy the rest of
this party for all it's worth."She didn't expect him to agree to her so easily.

Orla's next step was the office, as she had decided.
Once.
And for all.
Though it was killing her inside.
The party was still going on, but Miss Kate was about to close sign ups for auditions.
And Orla had to let her know her decision.
"Um, Miss Kate?" She said, knocking on the doorframe.
Kate looked up, saying. "Yes, Orla! Now, I was just looking for you to-"
"Actually... I need to tell you something," Orla said hesitantly.
Kate looked at her, eyes falling, a small smile on her face. "I have a feeling where this is going."
Orla nodded, eyes already teary. "It's just, um- I've applied for this sports degree and I haven't heard back yet, but I think I did a really good interview, and-"
"Orla," Kate's own eyes were teary as she looked at the girl. "It's okay."
Orla gave a first sob as she collapsed into the woman's arms.
"It's... it's really hard to say goodbye to Orla," Kate said tearily. "She's been a part of this studio for... for so long, and she's always been at the centre of everything that's happened here. And it's just... it's hard to say bye to someone who's been such a big part of our family for the longest time."
"But I'm not going straight away," Orla said, pulling back from the embrace. "I-I-m going to stay for the auditions and watch Noah, and I'm going to come back all the time cause of James-"
"Orla," Kate said, cutting across her. "Even if you never came back, I would never forget you. I'll always have my 'Get It Done Girl'."
