For the last two weeks, Y/n and Zoe had been staying over at the boys' apartment. It was fun at first — movie nights, late-night snacks, and laughter echoing through the halls. But something was off.
Y/n hadn't changed.
If anything, her overprotectiveness had only gotten more intense.
She hovered over Hector like a shadow. Every movement he made was monitored, every word he said was answered with concern.
And Hector... was reaching his limit.
—
It was a Saturday afternoon. The living room was full — Zoe, Fermín, Pau, Lamine, and Hector were lounging, but the atmosphere was tense.
"Here, drink this," Y/n said, placing a glass of water with vitamins on the table in front of Hector. "You haven't had anything since breakfast."
"I'm fine," Hector mumbled.
"No, you're not. You didn't even finish your toast this morning, and you haven't iced your knee in two hours—"
"I SAID I'M FINE!"
The whole room went silent.
Y/n froze.
Zoe blinked, surprised.
Hector let out a breath, rubbing his face. "Sorry. I just... I can't breathe."
Y/n crossed her arms. "Wow. Okay."
"It's not that I don't appreciate what you're doing," he added, trying to calm down. "But you're not giving me any space."
"You're literally injured, Hector," she snapped. "I'm trying to take care of you."
Fermín looked up from the couch. "She's been trying nonstop for weeks."
"I know," Hector sighed, frustrated. "But it's too much. I feel like I'm in a hospital again. And I already hate hospitals."
Zoe gently said, "Y/n, he's not trying to hurt you. But maybe you need to back off just a little..."
"Wow," Y/n said, blinking. "So you all agree with him?"
No one answered.
And that said everything.
She laughed bitterly. "Perfect. Then maybe I'm the problem."
"Y/n," Hector stood slowly, trying to approach her, but she took a step back.
"No. Don't. If me caring too much is a problem, then fine. If me loving you is too much to handle, then you know what?"
Her voice cracked, but she didn't stop.
"Then you can all go to hell."
Everyone looked up, shocked.
Y/n's hands were shaking.
"I'm done. I'm not gonna stand here and be told that I'm too much just because I care. If you think that's annoying, if you all think I'm suffocating or whatever—then don't worry. I'll disappear."
Hector's eyes widened. "Wait—Y/n, no. Don't do this."
"Don't follow me. Don't call me. I don't want to see any of you."
She grabbed her coat, keys, and stormed toward the door.
Zoe stood up. "Y/n, please, just slow down—"
"No, Zoe. You too. You sided with him. With all of them."
"Y/n—"
The door slammed shut.
And then... silence.
Hector sank back down onto the couch, visibly shaken.
Pau: "Shit..."
Lamine: "I didn't think she'd actually leave."
Zoe sat back down slowly, guilt flooding her face. "I thought maybe she'd just... take a walk. But she looked so—hurt."
Fermín: "She felt betrayed. And honestly... I get it."
Hector buried his face in his hands. "I didn't mean to push her away like that."
Zoe looked over. "Then go find her."
"She told me not to."
Lamine: "Yeah... but do you really think she meant it?"
Hector looked up, eyes filled with regret.
"I don't know what she meant anymore."
